Diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2014, stage 4 as one of my lymph nodes carrying active cancer cells was found in my pelvis. Had a surgery to remove tumour and 9 lymph nodes out which 6 were cancerous. Ended up with a ileostomy for 8 months, reversed last year.
My treatments were 6 weeks of radiotherapy and oral Capecitabine to shrink tumor before surgery, and 8 rounds of adjuvant chemo drip afterwards - that was horrendous with incredible stabbing pain in my arm.
All clear since a year ago.
