Seeking advice for my lovely Mum - her cancer journey is detailed below.
Christmas 2023 - started to pass blood in her urine.
Feb 2024 - diagnosed with ureter cancer (G3PTa right distal ureter).
April 2024 - stress test indicated some heart bigeminy. Heart function working at 40%.
May 2024 - kidney, ureter and part of bladder removed.
June 2024 - mitomycin injection to flush into the bladder.
August 2024- adjuvant chemo advised due to the surgeons not getting a good margin in the respectable area.
First chemo session missed due to issues between oncology and cardiology due to worries about Mum's heart.
End of Sept 2024 - chemo started.
Dec 2024 - final chemo session (chemo course was shortened due to remaining kidney function was reduced due to the chemo).
Early 2025 was cancer free on scans.
Scan in August showed something that they were worried about and wanted to check.
PET scan in late September/early October showed that the cancer had spread to nearby lymph nodes, and to the lymph nodes in her neck.
Mid Oct - oncology suggested immunotherapy or a re-scan in 3 months.
