I lost my wife just over 2years ago, last year I started Sockfest and I asked people to donate to Cancer Research and I believe we raised some funds. This year I changed it to SOCKFEST 24, and each day in the run up to Christmas for 7 days I wear Christmas socks, different styles each day, but this year I have asked people to donate to the charity of their choice, my message is it doesn’t matter if it’s only 1 £ € ¥ $ its 1 they didn’t have before, l always request that people donate directly to the charity of there choice. Mine is Cancer Research, but all charities do a phenomenal job for all of us, Derek.

    I'm sorry to hear that you lost your wife a little over two years ago. I'm sure that there have been some difficult times since she passed. 

    Thank you for supporting Cancer Research UK in such a fun way! Christmas can be a challenging time after the death of a loved one but it sounds as if Sockfest has been a great way to raise funds for charity and perhaps an opportunity to talk with others about what you've been through. 

    I hope that you'll be spending Christmas this year with loved ones and that the spirit of Sockfest 24 continues for many years to come.
