Hi guys, on Friday night i found a lump under my breast and it was a tiny bit painful. Anyway i squeezed it and a little bit of pus and clear fluid came out not a lot. The Saturday morning after i woke up and it was quite painful and bigger. Yesterday Sunday I woke up and it was larger and extremely painful to the point where it hurt lying on it. This morning it is the same size but more and more painful. Anyway i was in tears and went to the walk in centre. I lifted my boob up and she said breast abscess and the fact that it is so painful is a good indication that it is nothing sinister. Anyway I'm still panicking incase it is cancer. She has give me a course of antibiotics called Flucloxacillin over 7 days 4x a day. I am really worried that these antibiotics won't work. The bottom of my nipple is sore and the lump itself is red and very red. The slightest brush against it is killing me. She said if it starts to form a yellow head go straight to A&E to get it drained and depending how deep it is they might have to put me under to remove it. Has anyone had one of these what antibiotics have cleared up? And what causes them? I'm petrified incase it is cancer and she has misdiagnosed me. I lifted my boob up and she said yes its a absess that hense why you have a fever and chills and been the redness. The pain is getting unbearable now. I have never had one of these before and i am only 24 years old and i am geuinley petrified as I suffer with anxiety really bad as well. Can anyone tell me if they have gone through similar or there stories please? Thanks for the read sorry it is so long x
