Appointment 8 weeks after mri scan is this bad

Hi my dad went to AnE 5 weeks ago with servere back pain he was sent for a mri scan 2 weeks ago they rang for him to go see the consultant on the 17th December this will be 8 weeks since his mri scan. If it was bad news would they have him in earlier we rang the hospital today and the woman said she can't say so it's getting us all a little bit worried about his results

    I'm sorry your dad has had to wait so long for this appointment but try not to read too much in to this if you can. Always easier said than done but there could be numerous reasons why it's taken so long e.g. the impact of the pandemic.
