The FIT test tests for blood in the stool, not any particular condition. And the cut-off for a positive reading is, I think, 10, so yours is only very slightly positive. Some people get results in the 100s.

Many things can cause a positive reading and the odds are it is something very minor, like a hemorrhoid.

Something like 90% of those who get a 2 week referral do not have cancer, so the odds are high you will fall into this category.

I know it is scary though, because there is always the outside chance that it could be something serious.
