Breast lump

:confused:Hiya!

Around 2 weeks ago I found a lump on my right breast. My doctor referred me for a breast appointment. Today I went for my appointment, the consultant done an examination. He said something doesn't feel right and that he would send me a letter for an ultrasound and another consultation. I didn't ask any questions because I was just so overwhelmed with everything. The consultant gave me no reassurance or anything. Has anyone else been in similar situations and what was the outcome? I'm so anxious about another wait! Thank you

  • While reading through the forum I noticed you're new here and wanted to stop by to say hello and welcome you to our community, K94k94.

I'm sorry that two weeks ago you noticed a lump on your right breast which and that the consultant didn't seem too positive about it.

We do have other members who went through a similar experience and I hope some of them will be here shortly to chat with you and share their stories but until then, if you feel like speaking to one of our nurses please feel free to give them a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I know the wait can be a pain, K94k94, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your lump will turn out to be nothing to worry about.

    Wishing you all the best,

  • Hi lovley,

There's a few of us here to ask who are going through the same. I found a lump, saw my GP & I had a mammogram yesterday, I didn't see a consultant or have any examination. I have since found more smaller lumps but have to wait to see a consultant on 15th Dec, to find out what the mammogram shows, then if needed I'll have an ultrasound and / or a biopsy. Totally understand your worry, I've been stressed & worrying constantly for the last two weeks waiting for the mammogram & now have another two weeks to get through too. Hopefully you'll get an appointment soon for either a mammogram or ultrasound.

Try to stay positive and keep busy in the meantime... that's what's kept me going
