I am concerned about my 21 year old daughter. She was always very fit and active but she fainted at a dance rehearsal 3 years ago. Since then, she has had numerous irregular ecgs and was fitted with a loop recorder. She also started getting ' strange' headaches & was getting occasionally confused. This year in March (2021) she said she couldn't breathe properly & looking at her tonsils, they were so enlarged there was literally no gap. She ended up in A&E where they took blood and noticed in the 24 hrs she was there, that her white blood cell count has increased despite no infection being found. She was discharged and told she would be reviewed in 4 months. At the phone review, they said they would keep monitoring-her tonsils are still touching (nov). She has some strange little red spots now appearing in her back (she has never had spots on her back) and we've noticed some small patches of skin discolouration. In addition, she often complains of joints aching and feeling tired. I don't know what to do, as all her symptoms seem to be considered separately and no one seems to want to look holistically. Could you please advise if this sounds concerning and what I need to do. Thank you.
