How quickly does omeprazole work?

Anyone know how quickly you should start seeing effects? Is it an instant thing or should it take a few days. Went to GP today after experiencing bloating and wind problems and he's put me on it for a couple of weeks. Had first two tablets today and still getting some wind at the moment.

    I hope you're getting on o.k with the Omeprazole and not experiencing too many side effects but if you have any questions about this medication, do be sure to get in touch with your GP. Your pharmacist may be able to help as well.
