Not diagnosed but worried sick about appointment with GP

For the past week or two I've had really bad excess wind, mainly frequent belching. My stomach also feels occasionally queasy. I've tried the usual over the counter wind relief tablets and every supplement going - peppermint, ginger etc but they only seem to provide very temporary relief. I'm eating healthily so there's none of the trigger foods and drinks that should cause the problem. I've got an appointment with my GP in the next few days but am worried sick having spent too much time looking online at various symptoms. Just seems that a lot of things listed where the wind etc doesn't go away seem to be fairly serious.

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some ongoing health concerns at the moment. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious.

Unfortunately, we know that for many people, searching Google for information can leave them feeling even more worried and with no firm answers. It's good to know that you have a Gp appointment arranged so it may be best to give Google a wide berth for now and wait to see what your GP says.

There could be many reasons for the symptoms that you've been experiencing the past few weeks. Try to stay positive and hopefully the Dr will be able to give you some reassurance later this week.

I do hope that things settle for you soon.

    Best wishes,
