Pain and tenderness above belly button

I have a strange tender pain above my belly button, not excruciating but tender and worsens if I stand up straight. It's been like this for a few weeks gradually getting worse.

currently on thyroxine withdrawal to prepare for radioactive iodine next week for thyroid cancer.

can't help but worry every pain is something more sinister!

    I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some ongoing health concerns at the moment on top of waiting for your treatment for thyroid cancer. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about this abdominal pain that you've been experiencing. 

    You don't mention in your post if you've spoken to your GP about this pain. If not then please do get in touch with them as they will be best placed to arrange any necessary tests or referrals. 

    I hope that your radioactive iodine treatment goes smoothly next week and that things settle for you.
