Results via telephone call?

Morning

I've been experiencing breast pain for a couple of months and have had some discharge on one occasion. My GP referred me for a mammogram 3 weeks ago. I have just had a letter from the hospital to say they have arranged a telephone consultation next week to discuss the results. Is this normal?

Some results can be discussed over the telephone so I hope the call goes ok next week. It'll be a good time to ask any questions you might have, so don't be afraid to.

Thank you, I assumed I would get a letter with the results so am a bit worried that it's a call not a letter
