Hi all,

I had a smear test last year and it was mild cell changes and HPV positive. Had a biopsy done was was given the all clear and was told I have to have yearly smear tests done.

5 weeks ago, another smear and this time high grade cell changes and HPV positive. Had a Colposcopy appointment today to have the loop treatment. The nurse didn't do the loop and instead said they were referring my smear tests to the MDT board. She said it was nothing to worry about but I am worried. She also said my yearly smear tests were now going to be every 6 months till my body can fight and get rid of the HPV. Why are my smear tests being reviewed by the MDT if all is fine? 

They called another nurse in to look at the camera screen and she said everything was OK but then she asked me how old I was and when I said I was 40 her words "oh bless you". 

I walked out of there happy but now I'm starting to panic inside and wonder if there is something they aint telling me
