Hello, best thing would be to give the department a bell and have a chat with them about it as they deal with concerns all the time. I know I'm stating the obvious but honestly the nurses and docs understand.

Thank you, I was nervous ringing them as know they must be busy but like you said they were very nice.  I hadn’t realised the forgetfulness can continue for so long, just thought it would be feeling sleepy and slow reactions.  All sorted now, will be taken over to sister’s to stay. Thanks again.

Endoscopy showed nothing serious, so upper digestion ok thankfully.
