Hi hope you are ok! Hope I can offer you some reassurance. A few years ago I was 28 and I was in a similar position although I went to the breast clinic with pain in my right breast and came away being told I actially had a suspicious lump in my left breast! So I was extremely shocked as I couldn't feel it. They took me straight for a punch biopsy and after that straight in with a consultant. I was told it could be bad news. After the longest week of my life I couldn't wait any longer and phoned the hospital! They told me I should have had a letter but it was totally benign and absolutely fine. I was over the moon. the letter came a few days later confirming it was just a Fibroadenoma. Still can't feel it. Still have pains in right breast but had it scanned three times now.

Also, my sister is 26 and has just had a lump near her nipple checked iout, was like a bubble gum. She went to breast clinic and told likely benign. So they did a biopsy anyway but it came back inconclusive but again she was reassured all was ok.  The lump grew and she had it scanned again, they confirmed had grown by a cm. So they agreed to take it out. She had her surgery a few weeks ago as a day case and then had an appointment two weeks later and also told a Fibroadenoma.

i also paid private at one point and they gave me an option to pay another £300 and have a scan- I used my savings and had it done but was worth it for the reassurance.

Just thought I would update everyone, I've just been for my scan and it was glandular tissue that formed into a lump - nothing to worry about!! So relieved. Thanks so much for everyone's kind words xxx
