hope it's ok to post here, I went to my doctors 2 weeks ago with changes to my nipples, my areola on 1 breast has got bigger and the base of both nipples have thickened, I was referred to the breast clinic and had my appointment today, I don't feel reassured that it's nothing he said he didn't know why my areola has bigger but can see that it definitely is bigger than the other one and agreed that my nipples are inflamed he has advised me to use hydrocortisone cream for 2 weeks and if no change to go back to the doctors, he had a quick feel of my boobs although only felt the top and not around the bottom and didn't feel into my armpit? Is this normal practice to just look? As when I have googled it says the only way to really tell if it was something like pagets diesease is to do a biopsy?
