Breast Biopsy results

Hello all

I know all hospitals/trusts are different but I was wondering how long people have waited for breast biopsy results and how you were contacted, to give me a bit of insight in to what is realistic. I am aware of the expected waiting time at my hospital (7-10days... 2 weeks max). I had the CNB.

I'm 31 and have a 3 month old baby so naturally I've been quite worried however, I have taken a lot of comfort in the positivity of the posts in this forum.

    Hi Gem

    i had a bopsy last Wed and they gave me a follow up appointment for a week on Monday for the results. I do hope all goes well for you.  I can imagine how worried you must be. I have grown up daughters and 3 small grandchildren, I'm ok when I'm busy but nighttimes are hard.

    Hi Gem,

    im 38 with two young Sons, The waiting is just the worst, I had a follow up appointment two weeks later I received a letter. 

    I hope it all goes well I'm sure you will be fine, but if it's not the news we hope I'm here if you need someone who is going through it X

    A very warm welcome to our forum.

    It normally takes 1-2 weeks to get your results back, although this can stretch a little further in areas where Covid is prolific. This is always a worrying time. You will feel better once you know the outcome.
