Hi! I had my first smear at 25 like yourself, it came back HPV no abnormal cells the same again last year! I just had my 3rd one also feeling nerves.

The nurse said it usually takes 2 years to clear, but if it hasn't this time and there are still no abnormal cells  the colposcopy unit has a close look at your cervix to see what's up. They usually spray cervix with glowing stuff to see where the HPV is and if it's looking okay they leave it for another year or 6 months. If not, they burn it away.. My sister had that done.

I know it sounds ridiculous to say, but try not to feel worried. No abnormal cells is really good and the body usually clears it in 2 year anyway.  Hope this at least puts your mind at ease.
