Growth on bladder, cyst on ovary, waiting on more tests

Hi I'm just seeing if anyone else has been in a similar position to me and can give advice / reassurance,

i went to my gp early August because I had been having extremely heavy and irregular periods with a lot of spotting between periods also. She examined my cervix and pelvic area and said everything looked ok but took some swabs which came back clear and referred me for a pelvic ultrasound and a colposcopy as I had also had some bleeding after sex. (Had my smear test in January this year and it was clear).

I had my pelvic ultrasound in September and whilst having it the lady doing it asked could she do a transvagnal ultrasound to get a cleared picture but she wouldn't tell me of what nor did she reassure me that there was nothing wrong, two days later I seen my gp and she told me the scan showed that I had Adenomyosis, a large cyst on my right ovary and an abnormal growth on my bladder. She did my bloods and referred me for an MRI.

CA-125 levels came back normal, since then Iv been having extreme pain in my lower left abdomen which I visited my gp because of, she did an examination and said she could feel a round hard ball type thing so she wanted me to go to a&e for investigation, she also gave me antibiotics to take, the pain wasn't extreme enough that I felt the need to go to a&e so I didn't and just took the antibiotics but the pain is always there it's a dull pain but gets worse at times. I have my MRI next week and after that I really don't know what I will find out.

sorry that this is so long but I'm just hoping someone else has been in a similar position so I can hear how things turned out.

  • Also to add to my confusion and worries as to what's going on, I had my colposcopy 3 weeks ago which I thought would surely be normal as I thought my problems would be related to what came up on my scan, but no whilst the nurse was doing it she told me there was two abnormal areas and she needed to take biopsies so I'm also waiting for the results of them which she said can take from 6-8 weeks to come back
