Can I ask for a second opinion?

Hello first time posting, I'm 32 and went for an scan on Monday for thicking at the top of my breast, lump at the side of me breast and one in my armpit. Where I went was amazing the staff were amazing and I was in and out within 30 min. But whilst I has having the scan he only scanned my armpit, the side of my breast and the underneath not the top where the thicking he said all looked fine . After I had the nurse check the lumps as well she said the armpit was just normal tissue, the side one was the end of my breast implant but it's on my side wall of my breast and not where my side implants end? So that confused me. She said the thicking was normal but it has got bigger over the last few weeks and that was the may thing the doctor wanted checking. So could I go and get an seconded option or just go back to my gp?

  • Hello Leanne1989,

As this has left you confused and worried, I would perhaps go back to the GP to explain what happened and ask what your options are at this stage and whether you could get a second opinion.

You can find out more about getting a second opinion on this page

I hope you get some answers and the reassurance you need soon.

    Best wishes,
