I would assume they would like a face to face so they can see how your scar has healed from the excision , If your worried you can ask your gp in  a few weeks did he get any notification of results yet

It more than likely is nothing to worry about , I know that when my own gp removes moles he books an appointment for you face to face in 6 weeks to go over results and check where the incision was made! Did you have it removed for cosmetic resons or had it changed ?

thanks hope.  it had changed and dermatologist said didn't look like melonoma but they don't like changing moles so removed it to check.  the GP suggestion was really helpful and certainly calmed my wife down.  will let you know how i get on and thanks again for responding.  go well.
