Hey everyone just wanted to ask I found a little lump 6 months ago but at that time my mum was just diagnosed with DCIS so I left it.  2 weeks ago thought I'd go check it out had mammogram than ultra sound and whilst doing the ultrasound it took quite a long time the sonography guy said it looks suspicious but I don't think it's anything to worry about but im going to take some biopsy 4 in total. 
my results are in and was called to go in and see consultant which is this Wednesday. 
im not actually worried as he did he doesn't think it's anything to worry about, but than why say it suspicious? 
it's just playing on my mind now

    Morning Mum46, I'm sorry to meet you here, but pleased that your Consultant appointment is tomorrow and so you don't have long to wait now.  I just wanted to say that I've seen lots of threads where people have been classified as 'suspicious' on ultrasound and many of then have turned out to be benign. Lots of things tend to mimic cancer on an ultrasound and so that's why they have to take biopsies to be sure. Once you get your results, you will know for sure and I hope it's a positive outcome for you. I hope that helps a little and please let us know how you get on. Best wishes Mickey

    so I received my results yesterday and they found a Tumor with abnormal cells B3.  Consultant said that I need the Tumor to be removed for more testing but can't say it is or isn't cancer so still no definitive answers.  I guess it will be a few more weeks before I know anything for certain. 
    just wondering if abnormal cells tend to come back as cancerous.  It really couldn't come at a worst time as I'm in my final year of university and I have 4 major exams between now and January and I just can't concentrate

    Morning Mum46, I'm no expert by any means, but I would take solace in the fact that they haven't found the tumour to be cancerous when they took four biopsies from it. Abnormal cells may just be that and it's good that they are testing them further. I know it's easy to say try not to worry, but please remember they didn't find cancer. When are they removing the tumour, lumpectomy? Virtual hugs Mickey x

    Hi thank you for your response. They wanted to book me in for the 8th December but that's one of my exam days In hinsite I should of kept that date but I think I was not thinking straight as university have special measures for extreme circumstances and I could of done the exam at a later date... I think I'm worried as the same happened to my mum just 6 months ago and it turned out to be cancerous.

    Hi, you could always ring them and see if that date is still available and explain (might not be, but nothing to lose). You're bound to be worried anyway, we all do, but I totally get that with your Mum it's extra playing on your mind. Especially as it is so recent. This is one time when your age is definitely on your side also, so please take some solace in  that and the fact they haven't found any cancer in four biopsies. I don't know what happened with your Mum, but I'm sorry to hear that. More virtual hugs Mickey xx

    Ps: I know you said your mum had DCIS, but I meant I didn't know the outcome of that xx
