Hi ,
I was recently urgently referred to hospital after going to my GP with a painful lump in the upper part of my boob with pain that radiates downward. He made the referral and gave me a copy of the letter , if I did not hear from by a certain date then I was to call the number.
As the date has passed, I have been calling the number provided but no one picks up regardless of the day or time. The call just rings out then gives the engaged tone and cuts off. There is no other contact details provided and the lump is getting more painful more frequent and as you can imagine my anxiety is heightening. ( I'm trying not to panic). I can appreciate there may be a delay due to Covid however, I don't understand why no one answers the referral line at all.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with the services ?
