Lump in breast

Hey guys

hope everyone is well and keeping safe

im worring myself silly just want some support.

im 30 have 6 amazing kids I have been under the breast clinic on and off for about 10 years for my left breast which was non cancerous and after having the right meds and treatment I'm on the mend.

3 months ago I found a small pea size lump in my right breast on my areola just to the side of my nipple my doctor told me not worry as it was moveable and due to covid I'd be waiting to be seen.

This week I asked for a second opinion as it still hasn't gone and you can see the lump it hasn't grown just moved more toward the surface when sat in a certain position but 9/10 it deep into the areola.

the doctor comfirmed it is moveable and that is a good sign but referred me to the breast clinic to be 100% which I have on the 22nd this doctor has also filed a complaint against the doctor before hand

I am so scared this time thinking of the worse how I toke so long to get a second opinion.

I suffer for serve health anixity and panic disorders so I'm so run down with the stress and worry.

has anyone else had this that could just give me a bit advice please xx

  • Hello Vikzbubs

I'm sorry to hear that you're waiting for an appointment at the breast clinic to have a lump checked. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about things.

I know that many of our members here will agree that waiting for appointments, tests and results can be a really difficult time. Not knowing can leave us imagining all sorts of outcomes and it's natural to be worried. Although often easier said than done, try to take things a day at a time and not look too far ahead. it may help you to keep in mind that the large majority of people seen in breast clinics are not diagnosed with cancer.

We know that many people find it helpful to talk things through whilst they're waiting in limbo. I wonder if you'd find it beneficial to chat things through with our team of nurses? I'm sure they will be able to offer you some information and support ahead of your appointment. If you'd like to speak with them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope that you don't have to wait too long for your appointment. Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
