It is normal that if they find polyps they remove them while they are in there.

Also to take biopsies just to be sure.

I've had bowel cancer and need yearly colonoscopies now.

If you need someone to talk to ring the nurses on here, they will be able to ease your worries.

They told you nothing sinister so that's the main thing xx

Hi I'm pleased for you that it's nothing sinister please hold onto that. Anxiety is an awful thing I'm currently waiting to go in for a colonoscopy and the anxiety is horrendous. Keep talking to people, people will want to help you shouldn't go through it alone. Another thing you might find helpful is try some meditation,counting, breathing that kind of thing seems to help calm me a bit. Hoping all will be ok with your final results. 

Hello thank you for your reply, im still waiting for my results but can be up to 3 weeks depending on the backlog, yeah hopefully all will be ok, its just the anxiety and the not knowing driving me crazy. I have a little talk to myself and given my head a wobble telling myself im not going to worry about it and keep myself busy, I like doing crafts so im throwing  myself into that. Good luck with your colonoscopy i can tell you this the actual procedure was ok and they are so reassuring and make you feel relaxed and they do offer sedation if you want it, its all over in 30mins.

Hopefully the 3 weeks will go quickly it's a busy time of year as we head into Christmas so treat yourself get some pampering done buy yourself something new. I'm planning alsorts for after mine got to keep busy the mind is a amazing but dangerous thing when your not we'll so keeping busy is definitely a good thing. Thanks for the reassurance about the procedure. Keeping everything crossed for you x

Hi I'm so pleased to hear your good news. All ok here had a rough few weeks but got my diagnosis of ulcerative colitis and now on medication so hopefully on the way to recovery. Take care, hopefully you can move forward now but try not to under estimate the stress you will have been under and look after yourself xx
