Lump shoulder blade

Hi I have a lump on my shoulder blade and had an ultra sound and it measured 3.8cm said it is a lipoma.

 

It has grown in the past 4 months and had another ultra sound and they are not sure as over 5cm so being referred in the 2 week wait for an MRI.  I have got the appointment for a weeks time.

 

Can they change from a lipoma or was it not diagnosed to begin with?

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sure this must be unsettling, but as you now have the referral this will hopefully mean it won't be much longer to get the answers you need. I'm not sure of the answer to your question - you can always discuss this at your appointment, or if you'd like to speak to someone sooner then you can give our nurses a ring and they may be able to advise.
