Looking for reassurance before colonoscopy

Hi

Like most people on here I'm looking for similar stories to mine  to stop me going crazy.
Have had irregular bowel movements for 18 months , I put it down to just having a baby - then we went into lockdown so couldn't see a gp. I basically go more often , stools are loose , sometimes mucus when I wipe , no blood that is visible and no stomach pain. Fatigue and slight weight loss too.
Bloods show low iron. Didn't give me a FIT test ?

I went to the GP thinking he wouldn't do much but he fast tracked me to colorectal clinic. Went there last week , told them my symptoms and the first thing they asked was do I have bowel cancer history in my family ? This has really thrown me into absolute panic.
They have referred me for a colonoscopy to be done within the next 2 weeks. Has anyone else had similar symptoms and it's turned out to be something other than bowel cancer ?
I am 42 and otherwise reasonably healthy.
I'm just so angry with myself for not going earlier
:-(
