Hard ridges in breast

Hi

I am currently waiting for the results of some biopsies they took from the upper right area of my breast and near my armpit.

Whilst I was at the breast clinic I showed them there waa some hard ridges on the other side of the breast and they scanned that and said there is some definite thickening. I have noticed that these hard ridges seems to come and go. Sometimes you can visibly see it and it changes the shape of my boob and other days I can't find it. Anyone know what this could mean or had similar?

  • Hiya, breast tissue is a funny thing. Sometimes

they can change due to hormonal changes. And be more tender.

ive had biopsy and then lumpectomy and sentinal Nodes removed and my surgery boob has now Lots of scar tissue. Cancer free but left with a seroma and heamatoma. But small price to pay in the grand scheme of It.
If you are concerns speak to your breast care nurse-they can put uour mind at ease as they deal with boobs every day :)

if in doubt -check it out

    Hi Harker,

Any advice from us would be from our own experiences and might not compare to your symptoms, as all of our cancers are individual . I agree with Effie that this could be hormonal, particularly as it comes and goes. You usually get the results of your biopsy within 1-2 weeks and this should clarify exactly what the cause is.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Here's hoping for good news.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
