You’ve done the right thing in going to the GP and I hope that the antibiotics will work for you. The best thing to do is to take the antibiotics this week and to see how things are after you finish the course. It could just be as the GP suggested a blocked duct. If you see that things haven’t improved after you have taken the antibiotics, do go back to your GP. As you say, this is a long time to have to wait to get some answers and it is normal that it is making you feel anxious. The best thing to do really is to keep busy and focused on your daily routine this week and to avoid looking anything up online as this will only exacerbate your anxiety.
