Small lump in neck and armpit

Hi all

I've been reading up on here and found it to be so helpful so I'm hoping someone out there has been or is in the same situation as me.
I had my flu jab coming up to 3 weeks ago on a Wednesday, the following Friday whilst at work and stretching out after a long day I found a lump on my neck on the right side , quite low down. I also had a really sore throat and generally felt flued up. Naturally I googled it and felt a little reassured as it was the same side id had the jab and thought maybe it's just a lymph node fighting off the infection. Fast forward to now and I still have it. It's quite small and hard, it does seem to move.
I woke up yesterday to a sore armpit and have felt a lump (small and hard) there too... it's the opposite side to the lump on my neck. I've generally felt drained too, but I have an 18 month old so im always on the go.

Im a natural worrier and I know that me thinking and worrying all the time can cause symptoms that wouldn't normally be there but I can't help it. I look at my son and worry that I won't see him grow up.

I have a telephone appointment with my GP for next wens so I will mention the armpit lump then too.

I suppose the point of my post is to see if anyone else has been in this situation and if there's anything I should push for when I speak to the doctor?

so worried xx

  • Hello Tasha89

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some health concerns at the moment. It's understandable that you're feeling worried about things.

Unfortunately, no one here on the forum will be able to tell you what these symptoms may be so please do get in touch with your GP who will be best placed to reassure you and arrange any appropriate tests or referrals.

I do hope you have some answers soon.

    Best wishes,
