Orange peel appearance on breast after treatment

Hi,

I had a lumpectomy, chemo and then radiotherapy. My treatment ended in September. I am now on tamoxifen. Over the last few days I have noticed the breast where I had treatment has dots on it that look like the holes on an orange skin. I have also noticed my breast is bumpy but not like a lump more so ridges down one side. Its also the opposite side of where my surgery was. I have no pain though. is it normal for a breast to go through changes like these after the treatment or should I see a doctor?

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Thanks

  • Hi Hopeoverfear,

If you've noticed any changes that you're concerned or not sure about, there's no harm in speaking to your doctor. It's good to get the necessary information and reassurance.

If you would like to speak to one of our nurses, you can reach them on 0808 800 4040 (Monday-Friday, 9-5) - they may be able to advise.

Otherwise if others here have similar experience to share then hopefully they'll be along soon.

    Wishing you all the best,
