I'd have phoned ahead to be honest. On my hospitals website it says preferably with a partner/friend and no kids but if children must attend have materials to occupy them as there may be quite a wait. You have to go so there's nothing much else you can do. I'm going to mine alone as my husband is minding my 4 kids and getting them out to school. My app is 9am & a 2 hour journey away so I'm feeling abit sorry for myself also as there's no one literally to help with childcare with me either. Main thing is you go & get what needs done.
