Thickened uterine lining...scared? Any advice (ps. I've just

Hi all for the last couple of years I've had issues with bleeding.

I had an episode where I was admitted to hospital in July 2020 where scans were taken place and all were OK.

Since Dec 2020 I've had irregular periods sometimes 3months without one. I had a period 8 weeks ago which stopped after 5 days and then a few days later I started bleeding clots and having random gushes of bright red blood.

It carried on and one day I just gushed and gushed out It wouldn't stop so I was admitted to hospital. An emergency scan was done which shows I have a lining of 22mm thick and my wall lining has linier spaces within the cavity.

Has anyone else had this?

I've had an emergency biopsy where the doctor said the cells do look abnormal so he's rushed that off as urgent.

He thinks it could be polyps but he's not sure but he's concerned.

Has anyone else had this?

I have pain in my womb and ovaries.

I've been given northeristrone which has stopped the bleeding.

does anyone know what the linier wall cavities could be?

Or why my womb is so thick?

Thankyou

It sounds like the last year or so has been very tough but I hope it helps to know that many of our members have also experienced the side effects of a thickened uterine lining so you're not alone and hopefully you'll get to hear about some of their experiences soon.

No-one within the community will be able to answer your last two questions but you're more than welcome to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I hope you're not waiting too long for your results and they bring good news when they come through.
