Mole biopsy results

Hi. I had a mole excision 6 weeks ago this Friday and I've just had a phone call from the hospital wanting me to go back in to see the consultant on Friday. I was told when I had my biopsy I would get a letter with my results and would only be called back if it was serious. To say I'm absolutely dreading it is an understatement. The consultant at the time of biopsy said he thought it was skin cancer. Could I have been asked back for any other reason? I'm grasping at straws.

    I just saw your post and wanted to offer my support.

    I know this must be scary but if you can, try not to jump to any worse case scenarios. I know that's always easier said than done, even more so after what you were told, but there could be a number of reasons why this has changed.

    Hopefully some of our members who have experienced this will be along soon to share their experiences and advice but in the meantime we're thinking of you and will have our fingers crossed for good news on Friday.

    Thank you for replying and offering support. I'm  a natural anxious person so this wait hasn't helped me. 6 weeks is such a long time to wait for results but I understand these things take time.
