Positive hpv but no cell changes

Hi, I had a smear test done 2 weeks ago. Hvp test came back positive but no cell changes Were found. I've been sent for a pelvic ultrasound next week with an appointment with the consultant afterwards. I've been bleeding after sexual intercourse and bleeding in-between periods, dark brown blood sometimes black with a very nasty smell, also I've been loosing grey discharge with dark brown blood in as well. Has anyone gone through similar as this please if so what was the outcome? Thank you ️

    Hi Lizzy,

     

    Around 8 years ago I had a very similar experience. Bleeding after intercourse and turned out from that i was hpv positive. I had an internal scan and a small biopsy was taken from a growth on my cervix. This turned out to be a pre cancerous tumour, following this I had this burnt off it was quick and simple and I've never had issue down their since. 

    Try not to worry yourself but I absolutely understand the fear. Just know it can be just a simple experience like mine.
