Hi all. Long time reader... first time poster.

I am currently panic stricken about my future. 

6 Weeks ago I started with bad heartburn symptoms. I took OTC products but to no avail. Dr started me on Lansoprozole 30mg daily, no effect. This was doubled to 60mg daily which helped.

As the symptoms developed I now feel full after only a small amount of food and have lost my appetite. A bowl of cereal and I am done. I feel bloated all the time and have excess gas. When I eat/drink I need to keep belching. Lost about a stone in 6 weeks. I am currently getting no relief from the indigestion type feeling at present no matter what I do. 

I find it difficult to swallow and sometimes swallowing is associated with slight pain in my back or left side. 

I have achy type pain in the left side of my abdomen just under my bottom 2 ribs. 
 

All accompanied by feeling cold all the time and then will have hot flashes. 
 

Dr did bloods which were all normal apart from elevated inflammation marker.
 

I've also had a contrast CT of my heart/ lungs for a separate cardiac investigation.  The heart and lungs were normal and reporting Dr informed me that they could also see my liver, stomach and pancreas and all appeared normal. As the CT was looking at the heart and lungs no more images were captured. 

Went back to the GP who what's now referred me for the 2WW for upper GI. I'm expecting a phone call from them today to do a telephone assessment. I just feel at my wits end! 

I know people can't diagnose cancer via forums and I won't find the answers I am looking for until I have the tests however I just wanted to vent as I feel so alone and scared. I thought it would be good to speak with people who are going through a similar experience to myself. Please respond if you like to chat!
