Hi there [@1worriedmumma]‍ I am currently in a similar position myself. last year just before christmas i started with a sore throat and just presumed i was coming down with a cold. 2 weeks later doctors said i needed antibiotics. Took the full course and nothing happened so got reffered to ENT. They told me I had acid reflux even though I have no indigestion or sour taste, very frustrating! I ended up getting discharged even though i still have this very painful sore throat. I would recommend visiting your GP and explaining your worries to them.
