Lady problems….worried!

If I was to explain the full story I'd be here all day so I'll do a quick summary.
I am diagnosed with pcos. Not very well controlled as when I was diagnosed with it the gp did nothing to support or help me, it was just a case of put up with it. Anyway for 11 weeks now I've been spotting (some red, some pink, some brown and clotty) there's literally no consistency to what the type of spotting is. Anyway I had an internal scan as I was referred by gp due to the bleeding and a 'bulky womb' and they've now referred me to gynaecology, what could this be for? I'm worried it isn't due to my pcos as I've already seen a gynaecologist about it and they told me to just get the coil to manage symptoms so surely they're referring me again because they've found something different?
also, for my last 3 smears I have tested positive for hpv, my last smear came back on Thursday and I've been referred for a colposcopy. Is there a chance this could all be linked? im so worried :(

just a bit of background, I'm 26 and I have one child x

  • Hi JustAStatistic,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've been experiencing and I can understand this must all be a little confusing and unsettling.

It's very hard to advise on what could be going on unfortunately. I'm sure the waiting and uncertainty will be difficult - try if you can to take things one day at a time, and hopefully it won't be long before you get your appointment through and can begin to get some answers.

I'm sure there will be others here who have been through something similar, so hopefully you'll receive further replies soon, and remember we're always here for support if you need it.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
