Biopsy/CT Scan

Hi All,

My 79 year old Dad had an Endoscopy 4 days ago where a biopsy was taken after a "suspicious abnormality" was found. He was also refered for a CT scan which he had yesterday. Awaiting results from both, hate to go down the rabbit hole but here goes ....just after opinions from anyone with similar experience? CT scan before results from biopsy? Does that mean the endoscopy was pretty conclusive for cancer but just didn't want to say it at this stage? He has symptoms of feeling full after just a few mouthfuls of food (I think that's dyspepsia?) and the stomach was ulcerated but that still means it could be one of a number of things, and that those symptoms mimic other issues?

    I would have thought they would only do a CT scan after diagnosis to be able to stage cancer, however, my elderly neighbour recently underwent colonoscopy surgery for some polyps, one of which was suspicious. They conducted a CT scan before the biopsy results to help them get a better view of the part of the colon the suspicious lump was situated. Thankfully all came back clear.
