Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone who was diagnosed with breast cancer found that their baby wouldn't breastfeed from that breast?
When I had my little one she would only breastfeed from my right breast, at the start anytime I tried to latch her onto the left she would take a few mouthfuls then vomit it all back up, after less than a week she point blank refused to latch on the left at all. After talking to a breastfeeding specialist we came to the conclusion that she was just fussy and preferred the right side position. Hey whatever, as long as she was fed I didn't care too much.
Fast forward 6 months standing in the showering, a simple thought of I wonder why she doesn't like this one and picking the breast up while I questioned it I noticed a lump. When I let the breast go it disappeared, it was so deep that's why I hadn't noticed.
I phoned the doctors and got checked over, she found two lumps. Now I'm waiting for tests at the hospital, I still have 11 days to wait. My baby is now 8 months old, if it's cancer I have no idea how long I have had it for, I'm beginning to worry to the point I can hardly sleep.
I am only 33, have only told my partner and mum but don't really talk about it as I don't want to worry them too much.
Anyone else find themselves in this situation?
