So worried I have cervical cancer

Hello,

i am looking for some advice/help after hours of googling and terrifying myself.

I noticed a hard lump on my cervix about March/April but just put it down to not long having a baby (she would have been about 8 months old). The last 2/3 weeks I've had constant full back ache and period like cramping, it's there all the time. I've also had 2/3 days of spotting. The pain seems to radiate down my legs aswell. I've rang the doctors about 4 times and they just will not see me. I had a smear test done in February which was all normal.

I wouldn't say I'm in pain just very uncomfortable.

Can anyone offer some advice please. I am 26 years old and single mom of 3, I am terrified and going out my mind.

:(:(

  • Hello rachel202103,

You did the right thing in getting your symptoms checked out and it's encouraging that the smear test came back normal in February. Symptoms can occur for all sorts of reasons, but if they persist or get worse, you should contact your doctor again. When you're worried that you may have cancer, it can be tempting to look for answers online, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. And the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor.

    I hope this is helpful,
