Hi there, 

Dense breast tissue is perfectly normal in young woman, the older you get the less dense they become.

are you having a mammogram tomorrow or ultrasound? 
you should be able to ask any questions you have at your appointment, they are very good at explaining what is happening, but don't be afraid to ask as many questions as you want.

I agree with Sarah. Dense breasts are normally found in younger women, which is why they don't usually give people under 40 a mammogram. It is uncommon for someone of your age to have cancer, although sadly, not impossible.

 It is just as well to have an ultrasound scan when you have been offered one, as this should indicate whether or not all is normal. Not all breast lumps are cancerous. Many tend to be benig cysts, fibrous or hormonal changes.

Good luck with your scan. I can't offer any advice - sorry. I just found my way here as a 30yo also worrying about a hard area in my left breast so appreciate how you are feeling right now xx
