Gastroscopy findings

Hey all.

Having had problems with swallowing and a plethra of over things including weight loss and bloating with some mild constipation, I had a gastroscopy done today.

 

They found I had a thing called a Schatzki ring and also took 4 biopsies for testings.

I'm worried why they took biopsies and was wondering if anyone else has had the procedure done that could help.

    It's good they did the gastroscopy although I can imagine that the wait for results is a worrying time for you. I hope that you get your biopsy results very soon. Try not to worry too much about the fact that they took biopsies. It's good that they were thorough and hopefully you will find out more very soon. 

    I hope that you will hear from others here who have had a gastroscopy before and that they will be along soon to share their experience with you.
