Hi
I have my appointment next Friday but i wanted to post. Last Tuesday while i was in the bath, i did a breast exam and found a lump in my lower left breast. Its under my nipple (not underneath if that makes sense) about the size of my thumbnail on the surface and bigger than a grape all round (although its really hard to tell through the skin) its not perfectly round, hard to describe, more like an irregular squareish shape and feels attached to my breast tissue, i can grab it with 2 fingers and feel it under the skin if i run my finger over the area. Ive had pea sized lumps in the right breast in the past and they were small cysts or fibrous tissue but this feels different. Its not painful at all but i am having a heavy ache in that breast and sometimes a shooting type pain. I am very aware its there, keep touching it to make sure. Trying to convince myself its a cyst or something. I am on medication for autoimmune disease (have been on methotrexate, leuflunomide, Imraldi and now tofacitinib & methotrexate) and also i am high risk for cervical cancer (awaiting hysterectomy).
I do breast checks every now and again and definitely did not notice it last time, about 2/3 months ago. Has anyone had anything similar? I am one of these people that need to know, with my conditions and the cervix issues i like to be informed. The wait is torture.
