I was hoping to get some advice for anyone that's been through this themselves.
for a few months now I've had pain (an ache really ) under my right armpit, it can radiate to the breast but it's usually only on that side. It feels a bit heavy too and looks swollen in the area compared to my other armpit. Also I noticed a random blotch similar to a bruise had formed on my skin the past few months on my back which hadn't gone away
i went to the physio about this (as I was seeing them at the time) and they told me to speak to my Gp as she doesn't think it's muscle related.. I went to a gp and she said I was too young (28) for it to be anything serious and just to keep an eye on it.. I called again after 3 weeks as my physio insisted I keep on it and was told something similar and to that it's probably from picking up my daughter.. I 2 days ago had my flu jab and ran it past the nurse and she had me in with the doctor to be seen immediately face to face (before it was only 2 phone calls) this lady was totally calm and reassuring and checked my breasts - it wasn't until she was almost done she said okay, you have a lump in your breast. I was so confused as I had no idea (I honestly don't know what I'm looking for) so she referred me to the breast clinic snd I got a letter the same day saying i needed to be seen within 10 days... today I noticed my nipple inverted and doesn't come out until I push it back out which for me is unusual. I'm not going to lie I'm freaking out a little right now. I have my appointment non the 1st but I can't help but think about what to expect at the clinic as it wasn't clear it just said I may have tests and scans .. I wanted to know if a surgeon just sees you and says your too young then doesn't scan you? As to be honest after all this worry I now want proper peice of mind due to the original doctor not taking me seriously .. hope all is well but I was hoping to get some advice on what to expect and if someone had anything similar.
