Achy pain, sore right arm for nearly a year...osteosarcoma?

Hi

I've had a painful achy pain in my right upper arm for nearly a year now(10 months to be exact). This initially started after I fell on invisible ice in January 2nd,so I assumed it would heal within a few weeks, and didn't want to bother my GP with it,since the covid pandemic was extremely serious then, with over 1000 deaths a day.

However, this achy pain persisted and it's painful for me to stretch my arm downwards to pick something up,and impossible for me to sleep on my right arm since it's more painful and sore at night. The pain and soreness has now extended to my right shoulder.

would tendonitis,a rotator cuff fracture or a frozen shoulder last this long?-somehow I doubt it.

I went to the GP a month ago,and he was uncertain what was causing the pain, and so sent me for an X ray. The results came back and I received a text from my GP surgery saying "results normal" which is incredibly frustrating and exasperating, as my right arm is ANYTHING BUT NORMAL!.... has anyone experienced the same symptoms? Did it turn out to be bone cancer?

im in my 50s by the way, and I've never experienced such a pain or injury before.

  • Hi

unfortunately I don't have the answer for you but I have the exact same symptoms and have been referred for a scan but don't expect that to come through anytime soon.

I feel really sorry for you, it's so painful and stops me from washing my hair, lifting my kids, driving and everything in between.

Have you gone back to your GP and asked for a scan instead?

I really hope you find out what it is. I'll let you know if I ever find out x
