CA 125 of 78 - Need advice

Hello all,

Just looking for some advice and support really. I've been having lower right pelvic pain for the last 8months, earlier this year I had to go to hospital due to this pain but they didn't find anything other than an elevated CRP.

My pain still continues and I discussed this with my GP and had some bloods including a CA 125 which was 78 and I'm going for an ultrasound on 3weeks but I'm just worried sick and googling isn't helping me.
Along side the pain I have recurrent bloating, sickness, fatigue and weakness but also suffer with other conditions such as hypothyroidism, fibromyalgia, anemia and IBS so not sure if my symptoms could be related to that.
just looking for some advice and outcomes for people with similar CA 125 results if possible.
Thankyou ️ Xx

  • Hello ALH94

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some ongoing health concerns. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about what may be causing the problems. Unfortunately, we know that many people become more anxious after searching Google for information so please do try to give the internet a wide berth for the moment.

A raised CA125 result can be caused by a number of conditions such as ovarian cancer, endometriosis, fibroids, and even pregnancy so please do try not to be worry worried at this point. It's possible that some of your symptoms may be caused by one of your other health conditions. Try to take things a day at a time and not look too far ahead as this will cause you to be more anxious.

We know that waiting for tests and results can be a difficult time. If you'd like to chat with one o four nurses whilst you're waiting for your ultrasound you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice and support that they can.

I hope that you get some answers and that things improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
