Breast Clinic

Hi everyone,

I don't know if Im at the right place, but I have come across this website. I need some kind of support thats it and if anyone has the same symptoms like mine, please do let me know. I have itchy nipples for a very long time, but never noticed, I have just recently I guess it was this year, I called my gp told the doctor about my problem but because of the covid the doctor asked for pictures. The doctor prescribed me some cream for a couple or few weeks but it didn't help, spoke to the doctor again she said the skin specialist at the gp will contact you but anyway long story short the skin specialist prescribed me some fucidin saying its eczema on my nipples. Its worse now, what I have is, severe itchy nipples, skin around gets yellow and peels off. The same doctor referred me to breast clinic, my appointment was in 2 weeks. I had my appointment today, the doctor examined me, sent me for an ultrasound but I was told theres nothing behind the breast. So the doctor is asking me if you want we can do a procedure, how is the doctor asking me, Im like I don't know, you should know but anyway they done biopsy injected me in my nipple and took some skin out they'll send it to the lab so now I need to wait for another 3 weeks to see the doctor. Im 29, not married, Im freaking out what if its cancer or pagets disease. Please if anyone is going through the same problem, get in touch! Xx

  • Hi Animir,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can understand this must be unsettling. It's good though to hear that you had the referral and also that they have done the various tests. This means that you'll get the information and answers you need. I know it's easier said than done but try not to assume anything at this point - instead, aim to keep busy and to take things a day at a time until you find out more.

There will be many others here who have been through or are going through something similar and who will understand.

I hope it's not too long to wait for you to get your results.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
