Hi I hope your all well! Over the past 2 weeks I have noticed that I have visable blue veins appearing in my breasts and then 2 days ago I noticed that I have had purple blotches come over my breasts. My left one seems to be worse than my right but it's definitely on both my boobs, I am already under the breast unit at my local hospital and I had a ultrasound scan back in March due to have lumps in both my breasts and a discharge from my right, the ultrasound came back normal and I was just asked to come back on 6 monthly for a follow up with the consultant. I'm due to go back on the 17th of next month but due to finding these purple blotches they've asked me to come in next week to see the consultant, I'm going out my mind and constantly googling what it could be which all it's bringing up is IBC... I'm only 25 so the thought of it possibly being something so sinister is really messing with my head. Am I being paranoid? With me having a ultrasound scan not long ago one half of me is thinking im being paranoid but the other half is thinking what if something was missed? I think I just need to speak to other people who may have had or are going through similar experiences.. thank you for reading! Emily x

    Hello Emilyjox, 

    I can understand why this is making you feel anxious but it's good that they are seeing you next week rather than having to wait and hopefully you will get some definite answers very soon.  

    I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be as there are so many things it could be other than IBC. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online as this will always just bring up worst case scenarios. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.
