Endometrial hyperplasia update

Hello everyone,

I've posted before on another thread but thought I would make another.

Bit of background...I have never had well behaved periods since I was 20. Put it down to PCOS. Over the years I've had heavy bleeding associated with EH. It became so bad that it interfered massively with my life. My scan showed 30mm thickness.

So I was first scanned 7th August.

Spoke to doctor about results on 14th August who did 2 week urgent referral.

Spoke to consultant on 29th August who basically told me the same as the doctor. He said he I was classed as an urgent case for a biopsy due to high risk.

It's been weeks and I still haven't had the appointment through. I've tried chasing it up but never get to speak to anyone.

Anyone else in this situation? I feel bad as a student nurse, I know how much pressure everyone is under but I feel like I have to fight because after all this is my body and if I don't, who will?

Any suggestions would be welcome as my anxiety can't cope much longer.

XxX

I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with some ongoing health concerns and that you're still waiting on a further appointment. We know that it can be an anxious time waiting for appointments and it's understandable that you're feeling as you are.

If you've been in touch with the hospital and haven't been able to get a response from anyone about waiting times then you may want to consider getting in touch with the PALS department. Their role is to support patients and it may be that they are able to look into this issue for you.

I do hope that you don't have to wait too long and that you have some news soon.

    Best wishes,
